A breaker that opens repeatedly is a diagnostic clue, not merely an inconvenience.
A breaker may respond to an overload, short circuit, ground fault, or a specialized protective function depending on its type. The useful question is what changed and under what conditions it operates. A trip at startup, under sustained load, or when an outdoor device is wet points the investigation in different directions.
Good troubleshooting identifies the affected circuit and conditions, then uses appropriate testing to isolate the cause. Repeatedly resetting it or installing a larger breaker is not a substitute for finding the problem.
Electrical questions often have answers that depend on conditions you can't see in a paragraph. This is educational material, not a substitute for on-site evaluation.
